Air Fry Turkey from Frigidaire

You know you have been wanting to air fry a turkey—the deliciousness of deep frying without all the oil. This recipe from Frigidaire walks you through each step of air frying a whole turkey. By using grapeseed oil and a combination of seasonings, this recipe is sure to deliver a beautiful turkey to your holiday table. 

Ingredients

  • 20-25 lb. turkey
  • 1 lemon
  • 3 tablespoons grapeseed oil
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme

Directions

Remove neck and giblets from turkey. Tuck wings under and pat dry with a paper towel.

Slice lemon in half. Cut first half in slices and place in the cavity of the turkey. Squeeze and rub the second half over the skin of the turkey then place in the cavity of the turkey.

Spoon grapeseed oil over turkey. Use a paper towel to rub over the entire exterior.

Combine salt, garlic powder, pepper, and thyme leaves then sprinkle on outside and inside of the turkey.

Stuff parsley and thyme sprigs in cavity.

Set probe to 165°F.

Place oven racks in position 1 and 3.

Place the drip pan on rack 1. Consult your Air Fry Drip Tray instructions for lining the drip tray.

Place turkey and Air Fry tray on rack 3.

Cook on Air Fry at 350°F until 165°F is reached, approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

Remove from tray then slice and enjoy.
