Electrolux has recently become one of the largest employers in Tennessee. They just expanded their cooking manufacturing facility earlier this year in Springfield. The expansion makes Springfield the company’s research and development center and purchasing headquarters for cooking products in North America and the global development center for electronics for the Electrolux brand. Approximately 75 new engineering and technical jobs were created as a result of the expansion.
The facility was expanded by three stories, 21,000 square feet. It added world-class cooking laboratories and development facilities to the factory. The office space was also renovated.
Not only did the Electrolux expansion bring more jobs to Tennessee, but it draws positive attention to our state. Now that’s Tennessee pride that’s worth talking about.
